Hiroshima Arrival & InformationHiroshima is a very navigable city, public transport is operated by "Hiroden", the Hiroshima Electric Railway with buses outside Hiroshima as well. Hiroden was established in Hiroshima on June 18, 1910 and since then it has been providing service to Miyajimaguchi Station, it's the best way to get around the city. Hiroshima is reachable from Kyoto and Tokyo, 2 hours away in train from the first one and five hours from Tokyo. Prices are around $150, children pay only the half. There is a bus service from Tokyo to Hiroshima, the trip takes almost twelve hours and the fare is around $100. The ferry service in Hiroshima is operated by Miyajima Matsudai Kisen and JR Miyajima Ferry. You can also use a boat to get to Hiroshima from Matsuyama, price is around $20 to $70 if you choose a high speed boat. The metro in Hiroshima is named Astram and connects the city with the northern suburbs. If you want to visit the Hiroshima Asa Zoo or the Stadium then you'll have to take this transport service. It's also possible to get around Hiroshima on a walk, you can visit the main attractions located at the west and southwest of the city, with distances between 10 to 15 minutes on foot and you'll be able to visit the Prefectural Art Museum, the Hiroshima Castle, the Peace Memorial Park and the Hiroshima Museum of Art and the A-Bomb Dome.
