Kobe is a cosmopolitan and attractive city, one of its main icons is the Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge considered the longest suspension bridge around the world. There are many museums to visit and know more about the city and one of them is the Earthquake Museum where you will find everything about the natural disaster that almost dissapeared Kobe.

If you want to have a relaxing time, Kobe offers to visitors very pleasant and comfortable spas, the most popular is the Arima Onsen for its special location and because it's the oldest one in Japan. Sake or rice wine is a traditional beverage in Kobe and is generally produced in the eastern part of Kobe known as Nada, many breweries are open to public in this area, is always worth to know more about other country's tradition so if you want to know how is the production of sake you can come to this area and visit one of these precints.

As a modern city Kobe has also very sophisticated shopping centers located specially at the west part of the city, Kobe's Chinatown is also a very visited area. Kitano is the area crowded of foreigners houses called 'ijinkan', they have japanese style and were constructed in the 19th century.
