Fushimi Inari Shrine

This is the favorite temple of business men, traders and merchants who come here to pray for prosperity and good luck, this shrine was founded in 711 in honor to Inari goddess, the god of rice, there are also many statues of foxes because they are considered Inari's messengers.


Tofukuji Temple

Tofukuji Temple is also a Kyoto's UNESCO world heritage sites, was constructed in 1236 with the original idea of building a temple similar to those of Nara called Todaiji and Kofukuji, if you want to visit this site you better come the second half of november because of the autumn life viewing.


Byodo-in Temple

This is a characteristical temple of the Heian period, the construction began in 1502 and the Phoenix Hall was built in the next year. The tomb of the legendary Minamoto Yorimasa (1104 - 1180) is here and is one of the most famous japanese temples.



Daigo-Ji Temple

This is the entrance gate to Daigo-ji Temple in Kyoto. The temple was founded in 874, and is a vast temple complex. This Temple has been designated as an UNESCO World Heritage site.
