"Sapporo Beer" is one of the oldest and still most famous beer brands in Japan; it has been prepared in Sapporo since 1877. Now it’s prepared and sold internationally. The brewery in Sapporo is the most ancient of the four main breweries in Japan. ![]() Clock Tower The Clock Tower is an emblem of Sapporo. Also it's known as Tokeidai. The building was made in 1878 as a drill hall of the Sapporo Agricultural College. The US made clock was linked in 1881. The Clock Tower is a notable symbol and it is considered as an Important Cultural Property and now houses a small museum. ![]() Hokkaido Historic Village The Historical Village of Hokkaido comprehends an area of 54 hectares and this place is situated in Nopporo Forest Park in the suburbs of Sapporo City. This outdoor museum was opened to the public on April 16, 1983, to protect olden day structures and to show what pioneer life was like in Hokkaido ![]() Sapporo Snow Festival Sapporo Snow Festival is very popular in Japan (known too as Sapporo Yuki Matsuri). The festival starts at February for a week. The origin of this festival was in 1950, when some high school students made-up a few snow statues in Odori Park. |
