Kobe by Plane
The Kobe Airport receives only domestic flights, was founded in 2006. Kansai International Airport is the nearest airport to Kobe, and for getting
into the city you can take the limousine buses from Sannomiya Station, another option is to take the Japan Rail Pass direct to Osaka Station and
then to go to the Sannomiya Station take the JR Rapid Express, both of these two ways are easy to use, the buses depart every fifteen minutes.
Kobe by Train
The famous japanese shinkansen network also pass through Kobe and you can take it from the Shin-Kobe station which is directly linked to Sannomiya
Station, it takes three and half hours to get into Kobe from Tokyo, if you are coming from Osaka the trip is about 15 minutes. Is better to take a
local train if you are coming from Okayama, Himeji, Kyoto or Osaka.
Kobe by Bus
Getting to Kobe by bus could be relatively cheaper comparing with train fares, the major operator in the city is the JR Bus Group, special discounts
are made if you get the tickets with anticipation of about 21 days.
The center of the city is a crowded area located in Sannomiya, Motomachi, here you'll find many restaurants, shopping centers, hotels and clubs,
fortunately the streets have names in japanese and also in english so it'll be easier for you to locate an address or walk around.
At the south part of Sannomiya station is the administrative and business area of the city and in the north part there are bars and restaurants,
the city is small and you can walk around and know the main streets without any problem.
