Tokyo offers a wide bus system. On the front of almost all buses, destinations are labeled in roman letters, and bus stops are considered too. Routes generally begin and end at railway stations.
Note: Maybe, the bus system wouldn't be useful for tourists as the drivers don't speak English and all the stop names are in Japanese. Besides, the buses get captured in traffic, albeit the trains and subways are the exception. If you wish to take a bus for some motive, maybe depart for a distant factory or a group of offices, obtain very detailed instructions from your contact and be sure to tell the driver the name of your stop.
